这是 if引导的条件状语从句,用虚拟语气表示对现在的情况进行假设。

于现在事实相反的虚拟条件句用法:在条件状语从句中,如果所假设的不符合现在If sb. did/were + ,sb. Would/should/could/might+动词原形 例如:

如果我是你,我就会买下它。 If I were you, I would buy it .

2.What if everyone else brings a persent. 如果其他人都带了礼物怎么办?

What if 表示“如果..的话,该怎么办”用来表示许文或建议。例如: 我们把桌子搬到这里来怎么样? What if we move the desk here?
