suppose v. 推断；料想 常用法

1.Suppose+sb./he sth.+to be 认为某人/某物是……

I supposed the girl to be a teacher. 2.Suppose that从句，表示推测；假定

The teacher supposes that his student can’t finish the work on time.

3.Be supposed to do sth.

The engine is supposed to work day and night.

4.=should do sth.=be expected to do sth=ought to do sth 应该、理应做某事

5.be not supposed to do sth. 不允许或禁止做某事（委婉地禁止）
