Background

Valentino chocolates are made in Italy. Company based in Turin - Chocolate capital of Italy, each chocolate master have a secret of chocolate making, passed down from generation to generation. They are well known as high quality product with a delicious and indescribable taste. Some of the Valentino’s chocolate manufacturers have won many international awards. In the recent years, the Valentino Company expanded fast. But they are faced with a serious problem that their sales growth has slowed down and have caused a fall in profits.

However, in the last two years, the company has emerged some problems.

As Italy is very famous for it’s chocolate, along with such famous brands as Ferrero, Kaffarel, Sterelo, in this country there are numerous of handicraft chocolate production. So the business struggle in the Italian chocolate market is very high. It is a main reason that prevent the expansion of the company. Thus the most necessary investment option for Valentino chocolates is finance a market survey and research trips to another country like China. Valentino Chocolates can research the market and deduce potential consumers.

There are still many people who do not know about Valentino Chocolates products. At least in China, most people do not know about Valentino Chocolates. This leads to a narrow distribution channels, and lower the income. So we should launch a marketing campaign to let them know about our chocolate.

The machines are getting older, they should be changed in new ones. This leads to increased costs. So I think that purchase new machines will increase work ability of the factory.

The new products, biscuits and cakes, are not selling well. The staff morale, They are becoming demotivated.

Conclusion

This problem was a short-term problem. It can be solved by finance a market


survey and research trips to another country; launch a marketing campaign to let more people know about our chocolate.; change the old machine; making staff have a good morale.

Recommendations

Valentino Chocolates can research the market and deduce potential consumers then launch a marketing campaign to increase sales of all products, make more people know our products.

Buy new machinery. It can helps us develop new products such as a low-fat chocolate drink, new biscuits or cakes, and satisfy customer's needs. And it can also increase motivation of the sales staff as well as making our company have a good morale.

The future of Valentino Chocolates depends on finding new markets and new customers, and new products. Also I want to recommend company not only focus on chocolate production and develop in different directions. at first Valentino Chocolates must develop production of its Chocolates drinks, biscuits and cakes, and then in the future company must create and develop new sorts of products, it definitely will help to expand of the company. If the company done these, like Valentino company say, it will have a Bright Chocolate Future!
