The most famous is “yinzhenbaihao”(silver needle with fine hair on them), which has a history of more than 1000 years. The tealeaves are sliver in color and have fine hair on them, with the tea liquid yellowish in color and sweet in taste.

It is made of dark tea , shaped like brick and decorated with tracery.
花砖茶的加工方法是用湖南安化高家溪和马安溪的优质黑毛茶作原料。“花砖”的名称由来,一是由卷形改砖形,二是砖面四边有花纹,以示与其它砖茶的区别,故名“花砖”。“花砖”历史上叫“花卷”,因一卷茶净重合老秤1000两,故又称“千两茶”。花砖茶正面边有花纹,砖面色泽黑褐,内质香气纯正,滋味纯正,滋味浓厚微涩,汤色红黄,叶底老嫩匀称,每片花砖净重2公斤。用棍锤筑制在长形筒的篾篓中,筑造成圆柱形,高147厘米,直径20厘米,做工精细,品质优良。历史上最盛时期的年产量达到过3万多支(即卷)。 黑砖、青砖:

黑砖茶,因用黑毛茶作原料,色泽黑润,成品块状如砖,故名。现湖南白沙溪茶厂也有生产。其原料选自安化、桃江、益阳、汉寿、宁乡等县茶厂生产的优质黑毛茶。 湖南省安化县生产黑茶历史悠久,早在明朝万历年间由户部正式定为运销西北地区以茶易马的"官茶"后,陕、甘、宁、晋地区的茶商,到朝廷在各地设置的茶马司以金(货币)易领"茶引"(按:明制茶课引规定:上引五千斤、中引四千斤、下引三千斤),至安化大量采购黑茶砖,运销西北地区以茶易马(按:明洪武二十二年所定茶易马分上、中、下三等:上等马每匹一百二十斤、中等马每匹七十斤、下等马每匹五十斤)。大都运往兰州再转销陕、甘、青、新、宁、藏少数民族地区。明末清初西北地区的"边茶"十之八九由安化黑茶供应,多在陕西泾阳压成茶砖。1939年,湖南省茶叶管理处在安化县设厂大批量生产黑砖茶,产品分"
天、地、人、和"四级,统称"黑茶砖"。1947年,安化茶叶公司设厂于江南镇,在茶砖面上印有"八"字,称"八字茶砖",供不应求。新中国成立后,中国茶业公司安化砖茶厂(白沙溪茶厂前身)积极扩大生产,产品改称"黑砖茶",主销西北少数民族地区。
青砖茶属黑茶种类,以老青茶作原料,经压制而成青压青茶,其产地主要在湖北省咸宁地区的薄圻,咸宁、通山、崇阳、通场面等县,已有100多年的历史。青砖茶外形长为长方砖形,色泽青褐,香气纯正,滋味尚浓无青气,水色红黄尚明,叶底暗黑粗老。青砖茶主要产于湖北赤壁市(原蒲圻)羊楼洞古镇。以后发展到汉口、襄阳等地,已有两百多年的生产历史。它以老青茶为原料,经压制而成。色泽为棕色,茶汁味浓可口,香气独特,回甘隽永。青砖的外形为长方形,色泽青褐,香气纯正,汤色红黄,滋味香浓。饮用青砖茶,除生津解渴外,还具有清新提神,帮助消化,杀菌止泻等功效。咸宁、通山、崇阳、通场面等县,已有100多年的历史。湖北羊楼洞茶业有限公司作为一家历史悠久的青砖茶生产企业,使其湖北青砖茶成为中国著名品牌。 米砖:

Legend has it that a person named Wei was a devout believer in Buddhism, every day he offered a cup of tea to Goddess Guanyin. One day, while climbing the mountain, he saw a tea tree with glistening tealeaves. He transplanted the tree to a flowerpot in his own home. The tea made of the tealeaves from that tree turned out to be of super taste. Wei regarded the tree as a special gift bestowed on him by Goddess Guanyin. And because the tealeaves were dark green in color, similar to that of iron, Wei named this kind of tea tieguanyin(Iron Goddess Guanyin).

When talking about Japanese tea culture, we will pick Mat-cha as a typical symbol. But Mat-cha was first invented in China in Tang Dynasty and flourished in Song Dynasty. The Japanese famous monk Xingji (行基) introduced it to Japanese in Sui Dynasty. The most famous Mat-cha is produced in Uji(宇治).
