Example 1: She was young----not more than seventeen years old. She was short, thin and

Example 2: She was a fat woman, about the same age as her husband. She had large hands,
with heavy rings on her fingers. Her face was strong and calm, and her manner was very composed(镇定).

Example 3: He had a white bead which was not very long, a thin face, and very bright eyes. His
eyes were naturally large, but they look larger than they were. This was because his face was so thin and his cheeks were so hollow. His eyebrows were still dark, and his white hair was very untidy.

Example 4: The prisoner was a young man of about twenty-five. He was tall and handsome with
