1. My Favourite City My favourite city is Shanghai. It is an international city in China. It is in the east of China. There are a lot of interesting places in shanghai. Many people go sightseeing in Shanghai. There are a lot of shopping centres in Shanghai. A lot of people from home and abroad come to visit Shanghai every year. I have lived in this great city for more than 13 years. I often fly a kite in People’s Square. At weekends I usually go shopping on Nanjing Road with my mum. Great changes have taken place in Shanghai in the past few years. I think Shanghai will be more and more beautiful.

2. My Favourite Film I like American films very much. I always go to the cinema with my friends at weekends. Of all the films, I like the film called “ Swan Lake” best. It is the greatest cartoon I have ever seen. It is a love story about a swan princess and a prince. A prince fell in love with a beautiful princess. The music of the film sounds great. The film attracted a lot of people especially children. I love it so much that I want to see that film again. I also recommended it to my classmates. It is my favourite film.

Visiting Hong Kong Have you ever been to Hong Kong? Last summer, I had a visit to Hong Kong. And I had stayed there for quite a few days. I visited Marine Park and Hong Kong Disneyland with my mother and her colleagues. I also bought a lot of interesting things. I bought a beautiful watch and several key rings. My mother and her colleagues bought lots of cosmetics because cosmetics in Hong Kong are cheap. I like Hong Kong because people there are very friendly and helpful. I think visiting Hong Kong is quite exciting and I enjoy myself there.

4. Let’s go shopping

I’m going to the shops with my mother this coming Sunday. I need to buy a lot of things in many different shops. First, I’m going to Girl’s Fashion and Cool Clothes to buy jeans. Next, I’m going to Tommy’s Books and Computer World to buy computer books. Then, I’m going to Super Shoes to buy a pair of shoes for my dad. I’m sure we’ll have a good time there.

5. My Holiday Plan

I have a short holiday plan next week and have decided to visit Shanghai. First, I’ll go to Pudong New District. If I go there, I’ll see the Oriental Pear TV Tower and Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. Next, I am going to Yu Garden and have delicious food there. Then I am going to Nanjing Road to buy a coat and a pair of shoes. Finally I’ll go to see an adventure film at Yongle Cinema. I think my holiday will be great and amazing.

Everybody has his own dream job. So do I. My dream job is to teach History in a middle school. I think this job is exciting. I will be kind to my students. I can often tell historical stories to my students. They will be interested in what I teach them. I will tell the students “ history is a mirror” and encourage them to study hard for our motherland and to be a useful person for the society.

What an excellent teacher I will be! I will try my best for my dream job!

There are some model students in my class such as Nancy and Kate. Nancy is a kind girl. She always helps others, so she is very popular among us. Kate is a girl who doesn’t do well in Maths, but she never gives it up. She is so hard-working that she is a top student now. From them we can learn how to study, how to face difficulties and how to be kind to others as well.

8. My favourite season Spring is my favourite season. When spring comes, the sun starts shining. Plants start growing. Flowers start opening. Birds start singing and dancing and making their nests. Spring makes me think of butterflies. It’s interesting to see them flying around the flowers. Spring also makes me think of outings. How nice it is to have picnics in the park! Spring is a very beautiful season and I like it very much.

9. One-day trip in Shanghai As we all know, Shanghai is one of the most beautiful and modern cities in the world. There are such interesting places as Yu Garden, People’s Square, Shanghai Museum and so on. If tourists visit Shanghai, they can go to the Bund for sightseeing. They can see many buildings with foreign styles. Also they can go to Huaihai Road for shopping. they can get many expensive and fashion clothes there. I’m sure if they visit Shanghai, they will love Shanghai.

10. Life in the future Perhaps people will be able to grow vegetables in space stations as there is not enough food for everybody on the Earth. And people in different countries will probably be able to speak the same language in order to understand each other better. What amazing life it will be in the future! and I think so and hope so.
