教学流程

一、情景导学，揭示话题

T: I „m very glad to have this lesson with you . First, let‟s have a dictation.

1. Teacher checks the students‟ previewing situations---Dictation (1) 妨碍 (2) 关爱 (3) as much as he wants

(4) have a chance to do sth (5) He made his decision at last. (6) I want to achieve my dreams.

Students read and write the phrases and expressions, two students write on the blackboard and others write on their own papers. [设计意图：激情导入是英语课堂教学方法的重要形式之一，教师采用听写来缓解学生的紧张情绪，建立轻松和谐民主的课堂氛围，为进一步的学习奠定了良好的基础。]

2. Make conversations between the teacher and students

T: (looking at a student) Do you have a dream, Xing Xinyuan? Xing Xinyuan: Yes. T: What‟s your dream?

Xing Xinyuan: My dream is to be a teacher.

T: Ask another student,Wang Yue. What‟s his/her dream? Wang Yue: Her dream is to be a teacher T: What about you ?

Wang Yue: I want to be a doctor.

T: Good, How about you Han Jinhui? Do you have a dream?

Han Jinhui: Yes, I want to be a teacher, too.

T: Ok, very good, I believe all of you have your own dreams, so if you can work hard ,you will achieve your dreams at last. Today I want to introduce a new friend of mine to you.. Who is she?

Did she have a dream? What‟s her dream?

Did she achieve her dream at last? Ss: She is Li Yuchun. Ss: Yes she did.

Ss: To be a singer was her dream. She achieved her dream successfully. Now she is a successful singer. She succeeded in singing.

She made a success finally.

T: I have a dream, too. My dream is to be a singer like Li Yuchun, but at this moment I have a new big dream. Do you want to know my dream? My dream is to have a successful English class with you together, I hope all of you can learn some useful things from this lesson and have a good time. Can you help me achieve my dream? Ss: Yes, I can.

T: Thank you ,now this lesson we will learn Unit 7 Section B, Who can read the title loudly?

Chen Mingzhi: Should I be allowed to make my own decisions? T: Good!

Liu Chang: Should I be allowed to make my own decisions? T: Who can translate it for us ?

T: Please read the title and discuss in groups, and ask“what information do you want to know? Or What questions do you want to ask?”

Ss: Read the title together and give some questions:

Liu Ning: Whether should I be allowed to make my own decision or not? Liu Chang: Who am “I”?

ChaiYiming: What decision do “I” want to make? T: Do “I”make my own decision at last? (教师同时板书问题)

Ss: Students read the passage with these questions.

Student answer these questions one by one.

T: OK! Now, let's listen to the tape , thinking reading comprehension questions 3, and at the same time pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation. Ss: Listen .

T: Let Ss to read the passage carefully in groups in different ways , eg: Independent reading, group reading ,role reading and so on, then skip unknown words, capture the key information, grasps the article topic, and think about some questions.

T: Sometimes these can get in the way of teenagers’ schoolwork. What’s the meaning of these? Ss: Hobby.

T: What’s the only thing that Liu Yu has ever wanted to do? Ss: Running.

T: How does he want to make his dream come true? Ss: He wants to practice his dream as much as he wants.

T: Does Liu Yu’s parents allow him to train his hobby so much? Ss: No, they don’t.

T: Do you think Liu Yu should be allowed to practice his hobby as much as he wants? Why or why not?

S1: Yes, I do. Because he is getting older so he should be allowed to make his own decision and he is serious about running.

T: On one hand, we should make our parents know we can spend suitable time on study and hobbies, and we’ll be realistic if we can’t achieve our dreams. On the other hand, we should understand our parents‟worries, after all, we’re not old enough to make all of our decisions.

T: But every person should have their own dreams ,and their success can‟t depart from others‟ support ,try your best to do every thing that you like, you will succeed at last.

T: Do you like watching talk shows on TV? “Talk Show” is like Shihuashishuo, Yishurensheng, Mianduimian, Xiaocuishuoshi and so on. Today we will have a talk show in our class, Liu Yu and his parents are going to our class. Now please read the passage again and make an interview in your group. We need a photographer, a reporter, Liu Yu , Liu Yu‟s Father , Liu Yu‟s Mother. Are you ready? Ss: OK!

Ss: Read the passage again and prepare the conversation.

Sun Qi: I know you have some questions with you son, right?

Jing Xiaohui: Yes, he wants to be a professional runner when he grows up. But we

think our son needs to think about what will happen if he doesn‟t end up as a professional runner. Sun Qi: What do you think of Liu Yu?

Yang Yuqing: Well, I think I should be allowed to decide for myself. My parents have

always taught me how important it is to work hard at school and enter university. I understand this, but I‟m serious about running. It‟s the only thing I‟ve wanted to do.
