一、情景导学,揭示话题
T: I „m very glad to have this lesson with you . First, let‟s have a dictation.
1. Teacher checks the students‟ previewing situations---Dictation (1) 妨碍 (2) 关爱 (3) as much as he wants

2. Make conversations between the teacher and students

T: Please read the title and discuss in groups, and ask“what information do you want to know? Or What questions do you want to ask?”
Ss: Read the title together and give some questions:
Liu Ning: Whether should I be allowed to make my own decision or not? Liu Chang: Who am “I”?

T: Sometimes these can get in the way of teenagers’ schoolwork. What’s the meaning of these? Ss: Hobby.
T: What’s the only thing that Liu Yu has ever wanted to do? Ss: Running.
T: How does he want to make his dream come true? Ss: He wants to practice his dream as much as he wants.
T: Does Liu Yu’s parents allow him to train his hobby so much? Ss: No, they don’t.

T: Do you think Liu Yu should be allowed to practice his hobby as much as he wants? Why or why not?
S1: Yes, I do. Because he is getting older so he should be allowed to make his own decision and he is serious about running.
T: On one hand, we should make our parents know we can spend suitable time on study and hobbies, and we’ll be realistic if we can’t achieve our dreams. On the other hand, we should understand our parents‟worries, after all, we’re not old enough to make all of our decisions.

T: But every person should have their own dreams ,and their success can‟t depart from others‟ support ,try your best to do every thing that you like, you will succeed at last.
T: Do you like watching talk shows on TV? “Talk Show” is like Shihuashishuo, Yishurensheng, Mianduimian, Xiaocuishuoshi and so on. Today we will have a talk show in our class, Liu Yu and his parents are going to our class. Now please read the passage again and make an interview in your group. We need a photographer, a reporter, Liu Yu , Liu Yu‟s Father , Liu Yu‟s Mother. Are you ready? Ss: OK!
