1. want to do …=would like to do… = feel like doing…想要做… 2. know about了解；know well熟悉；learn about sth.学习某事
learn about … + 事；learn from sb.向某人学习learn from … + 人；
3. science – scientist科学家；
a famous scientist / artist / player一位著名的科学家/艺术家/运动员；
be famous for…以…而著名；be famous as…作为…很著名 4. in the office在办公室里；office 办公室--- officer 官员 5. secretary 秘书
6. talk about sth. 谈论某事
7. talk with sb. / each other 和某人交谈 8. help each other 互相帮助
9. May I ask … some…? Could I have some …? 表请求，some 不变 Can we sak you some questions？表请求，
⑴some不变，⑵不用can回答，用sure / certainly / of course回答 10. have a quick lunch 吃快餐，quick（形容词）--quickly（副词） quick – fast ; quickly – fast
have a big dinner 吃一顿丰盛的晚餐 have a light breakfast
11. go on with sth.（名词或动名词） 继续某事 go on doing sth.继续做某事
go on to do sth
12. much work 许多工作
13. meet other scientists 会见其他的科学家；other其他的，做定语；
other / the other +名词；others / the others 后面不加名词； one… the other …一个…另一个； another 又一个 14. seldom很少（否定含义）
15. go shopping去购物=do some shopping ；go fishing；go swimming；
go boating；
16. eat out在外面吃；go out to eat去外面吃饭 17. have meals吃饭；have a meal 吃一顿饭 18. never从不，表否定，反义词always 19. He works hard. (感叹句) How hard he works!
20. （主语人）be interested in = be into + 名词 / 动名词
（主语事/ 物）be interesting
21. begin to do sth. 开始作某事；begin to work 开始工作 22. 名词‘s , 表示某人的，
如：Teachers’ Day, the students’ books, my father’s car 23. plan 计划（名词）make a plan制定一个计划；
plan to do … 计划做某事（动词） plan-plans plan-planning 24. interview 采访interview people（动词）；like interviewing（动名词）；
make a interview（名词）；interviewer采访者
25. Let’s visit (visit) him (he). Let后接动原，visit动词后接宾格。
否：Let’s not visit him .；visit sb.拜访某人；a visitor一位游客
