The goal of this course is to help students understand decision support systems (DSS) and the importance of decision support systems in decision-making process. Secondary, the application of information technology, such as data warehouse and data mining, to extract information for intelligent decision-making from enterprise databases will also be covered. Thirdly, the techniques to build a decision support system will be introduced and students are encouraged to develop a prototype decision support system using commercially available software packages. 五、應用領域：

1. Support for decision makers in semi-structured and unstructured problems. 2. Support managers at all levels. 3. Support individuals and groups.
