英语作文：记一次英语演讲比赛 An English Speech Competition
Last week, I participated in an English speech competition. It was a great experience for me.
I was nervous before the competition, but I was determined to do my best. Before I started, I took a deep breath, and reminded myself to be confident.
The competition was divided into two parts. The first part was a prepared speech. I chose a topic about the importance of sports in our daily life. I tried to make my speech interesting and
informative. I showed my passion and enthusiasm in my speech.
The second part was an impromptu speech. The topic was “How to make the world a better place”. I thought for a while, and then I started to talk about the importance of education and how it can help people to solve problems.
At the end of the competition, I was very happy to learn that I won the second prize. It was a great honor for me. I was so proud of myself.
This competition was a great experience for me. It taught me the importance of confidence and practice. I will never forget this experience.
