How to Tackle the Housing Problem in Big Cities?
With the fast development of modern industry, more and more people are flooding into big cities to find jobs. So it is of great importance for us to pay attention to the housing problem in big cities. On the one hand, the population is growing very fast. On the other hand, the limited urban area cannot house the increasing population.
We have figured out many ways to solve this problem. Firstly, it is a good idea to build "satellite cities" in the suburbs of big cities so that people will be dispersed in a large area. Secondly, the government should build higher rise buildings to house more people. Thirdly, the government should also offer a discount for low income residents to buy their houses.
Considering all these, I believe that the housing problem is very complicated. First of all, it involves in many other problems such as transportation, utilities, etc. Further more, building more houses needs a large sum of investment. Therefore, we should make further efforts to take all kinds of measures to tackle the housing problem in big cities.
College Students Owning Mobile Phones
As shown in the picture, 35% students in a college keep mobile phones on campus. For one thing, to keep a mobile phone at hand has become a vogue on campus. For another, many students can make full use of them, such as sending short messages etc. It is obvious that mobile phones have become a new necessity for college students.
Many remarkable factors contribute to the wide-spread of mobile phones on campus. First of all, the price of mobile phones has dropped rapidly in recent years. In addition, mobile phones can meet students' daily demands for telecommunications. Thirdly, it is more convenient for college students to use them when seeking jobs.
Considering all these, I believe that more students will buy mobile phones in the future. First of all, mobile phone is really a kind of convenient and fast communication tool. Furthermore, both the price of mobile phones and the phone bill will decrease further. Therefore, as long as mobile phones are used properly, it is quite helpful to students.
On Stress
As is shown in the chart, stress has gradually become a noticeable part of our everyday life in modern society. For one thing, many people become ill because of the long-term stress and strain in their work. For another, many people find it hard to relax themselves after work time. It is obvious that stress may cause car accidents, alcoholism and other social problems.
Many remarkable factors contribute to the upward stress index of city residents. First of all, the competition for the jobs causes greatest pressure on employees. In addition, uncertainty about the future makes the situation even worse. Thirdly, the quick rhythm of modern life is also one of the main factors.
Considering all these facts, I believe that the stress index may go up further. First of all, social competition will be more intense in the future. Furthermore, people will have to spend much more time on work and study. Therefore, people should learn how to cope with these pressures properly and to make effective self-adjustment.
