The hat reinforcement disclosed herein includes a web portion having a locally optimized slope. The hat reinforcement may include a web portion having a

relatively small inclined surface optimized for handling shear forces. The hat

reinforcement may include a web portion having a relatively large inclined surface optimized for handling peel force or interface force. The hat reinforcement may include a hat cap having a variable width along the length of the hat

reinforcement. The hat reinforcement may further include a transition web portion that transitions from a web portion having a relatively large slope to a web portion having a relatively small slope. The concept disclosed herein allows the creation of a piece of hat reinforcement, which can be locally optimized to improve structural performance and efficiency for different loading conditions. 主权项：
