作文教学设计案例

. Teaching aims

1. Teach the students five basic writing steps..

2. Develop the students’ writing skills, using complex sentences and some connection words.

. Important and difficult teaching points

How to make the students use some writing skills and improve their writing ability.

. Teaching methods

1. Individual work, pair or group work to make every student take an active part in the activities in class.

2. Interactions between the Ss and the teacher. . Teaching aids Multimedia

. Teaching procedures

Step1 Warming-up and leading in 1. Play a game.

T: Do you know the normal topics that often appear in the exams ? Ss: Introduction, school life, vacation plans, health. T:Well done. Any more?

Ss: Environment, activities…….

设计意图:激发学生思考,鼓励学生回答问题,准确引入正题 Step2 Presentation

1.Five basic steps of writing. First: search (审题)

Second: list(列出基本要点) Third: add(加开头和结尾等)

Fourth: connect(用合适连词连接前后句) Fifth: beautify(用谚语或例子来美化文章) 2.Writing skills.

方法一:善用词甚至善用高级词汇。 方法二:活用多种句型 方法三:妙用关联词

设计意图:以学生为主体的教学也强调教师的主导性。精心设计问题,引导学生思考,是发挥教师主导作用) Step3 Brain-storming

Show a composition of the student in their class. TWhat do you think about this short passage ? Do you have any ways to change them to make it more fluent and logical ?

目标1Make the students know the first step is how to use the simple sentences correctly.

目标2Make the students know it is important to use all kinds of structures of sentences in writing.

目标3Encourage the students to sum up the conjunctions which we often use them in writing.

目标4Encourage the students to say the different translations of a sentence. Step4 Teacher intervention

1. Sum up some proverbs or sayings that Ss can use to beautify their compositions. and the connection words. For example:

(1) Treat other people as you hope they will treat you. 你希望别人如何对待你,你就如何对待别人。 (2) When at Rome, do as the Romans do. 入乡随俗。 (3) Failure is the mother of success. 失败乃成功之母. (4) Practice makes perfect. 孰能生巧

(5) Think twice before you do. 三思而行。

(6) Where there is a will, there is a way. 有志者事竟成。 (7) The early bird catches the worm。早起的鸟儿有虫吃。

(8) An apple a day keeps the doctor away. 一天一苹果,医生远离我。 (9) Easier said than done. 说起来容易做起来难。 (10) Nothing is impossible to a willing heart. 世上无难事,只怕有心人。

(11) There is but a secret to success-Never give up! 成功的唯一秘诀就是永远不放弃。

(12) Never too old to learn. 活到老,学到老。 (13) All roads lead to Rome. 条条大路通罗马。 (14) Time is money. 时间就是金钱.

2. Summarize the connection words

(1)表示并列或递进: and, both…and, what’s more , also, not only…but

also, neither…nor

(2)表示选择: or, either…or

(3)表示转折: but, however, although\though, after all, anyway (4)表示因果: because, so, as, since, for, as a result (5)表示条件: if , unless

(6)表示对比: instead, not…but, while, in the same way, on the one hand…on the other hand

(7)表示解释: for example, such as, that is to say, in other words, to tell the

truth

(8)表示顺序: to begin with, firstly, first (of all), second(ly), next, later, then, from then on, finally, in the end , at last

(9)表示强调: also, besides, still, in fact, the most important is that (10)表示结论: all in all, in a word, generally speaking, in short 设计意图:帮助学生归纳。 Step5 Creative-work

Show two compositions of the studentslet the students try to analyze the structures of the composition and say the advantages and disadvantages.

设计意图:前面几个环节是铺垫,这个环节是巩固和应用,是创意和提高。

Step6 Brief-summary

Organize the students to give the assessment to this lesson. 设计意图:结束前做一简单的小结有助于知识的巩固。
