Good morning ladies and gentlemen. It's my great honour to stand here and deliver a speech about the theme of English learning. To be honest, English has been widely accepted as a common language of international communication for quite a long time now. Language is the bridge linking people from different countries and playing a key role in nation’s
constructions and development. Through a study of English, we may acquire a better understandings of the culture,
literature, customs and even make friends with others in the world. What is more important, learning English can open the door to your future. In the globalized modern world, English language is playing an increasingly important role in the development of all walks of life. In addition, English skill is also taken as an essential part of job’s requirement. For example, in order to apply for been admitted to a world-famous university, you must have a good command of English language. In conclusion, English learning is essential for the study, work and social life. Therefore, from now on, let’s try to spare time on learning English. Don’t be afraid of these grammar, just keep working on them. Besides, what we should remember is that the best way is to learn it in a more efficient and interesting way. There are many ways to improve English language, such as reading, speaking, writing and listening. We can read English books and watch movies, and then try to
find out their pronunciation and look them up in dictionaries. In the end, I’d like to say that learning English consists of patient and steady. Do not get disheartened if you are making slow progress. Keep it up and you will eventually succeed. Thank you very much for listening. That’s all my speech today.
