一．指示代词有this（这），that（那），these（这些），those（那些）．

二．this和these指说话人较近的人或物，that和those指说话人较远的人或物．三．this和these指单数，that和those表示复数

四．指示代词在句中作主语和定语，作定语时的作用和the相似．例：This is a pencil. -----（否定句）This is not a pencil.

-----（一般疑问句）Is this a pencil? (肯定回答) Yes, it is.（否定回答）No, it isn’t. These are my desks. （否定句）These are not my desks. -----（一般疑问句）Are these your desks?

(肯定回答) Yes, they are.（否定回答）No, they aren’t. That pencil is long . These desks are new. （做定语）（放在主语前面做定语）

一．指示代词主语很简单．作定语用尤其是将一般疑问句改成陈述句的肯定式须

重点把握．

二．指示代词作定语时，常用冠词the来代替，所以两者不可同时用．例：This book is new . (√)(在主语前作定语)

The book is new. (√)（在主语前作定语）

This the book is new.(×)（两者不能同时用，只可用其中一个）三．背写下列词：
