Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon!

“有朋自远方来，不亦说乎？”在这金秋时节，请允许我代表全体师生，欢迎上海韩国学校师生代表团一行的到来。

As a saying goes, “ It is a delight to have friends coming from afar.” During this harvest season of fall, on behalf of all the teachers and students , I want to extend cordial welcome to you all, welcome to beautiful Luoyang, welcome to LFLS.

首先请允许我简单地介绍一下洛阳外国语学校。

First of all, please allow me to give a brief introduction of LFLS.

洛阳外国语学校始建于1960年，是经河南省教育厅批准，国家教育部备案的全国22所合格外国语学之一。

Luoyang Foreign Language School, established in 1960, is one of the first 22public foreign language Schools which are put on file by National Ministry of Education.

学校现有一校两区，设有高中部、初中部及国际部。教职工300多名，现有外籍教师4名，100多个教学班，在校生达5000余名。辉煌的成就，独树一帜的风格，铸就了洛外独有的文化内涵。

With two campuses, our school has a junior section, a senior section and international department. There are 100 classes ,including over 5,000 students and more than 300 teachers, 4 foreign teachers at present. During the past years, we have made great achievements, it has been awarded for its great contribution to the community.

学校以先进的办学理念为指导，着力培养“合格+特长”的优秀学生，创办“规范+特色”的品牌名校，突出外语特色、培养文理兼情操高尚的国际化人才。学校聘请外籍教师，实行英语、俄语、日语小班授课.为提高学生的听说技能提供了更多的机会。

We are committed to train excellent students with qualification plus talent and we diligently strive for establishing an elite school with standard and characteristics. The school provides instruction in the following foreign languages: English, Japanese and Russian in small classes. It provides more chances for students to improve their speaking and listening skills.

每年我们接待许多国外代表团，同时我们的学生也到这些国家进行交流，如新西兰、加拿大、俄罗斯等，并和这些国家建立了友好的关系。明年我们学校将开设西班牙语，洛阳外国语学校将逐步走向国际舞台。

Every year, we have the chances to receive delegations from other countries. Meanwhile , we also send our exchange students to visit and study in the schools in New Zealand, Canada, Japan and Russia. We also set up cooperation and exchange program with some of the schools. Next year, Spanish will be on the curriculum in our school. LFLS is gradually stepping into the international arena.

此次代表团的来我校的交流活动，必将对我校的国际化办学进程起到有力的促进作用，最后，我再次对代表团一行的到来表示热烈欢迎，并祝交流圆满成功！

The activities today will play a powerful role in promoting our school’s international process. Last but not least, welcome again and wish today’s event a great success!
