Step 1 Revision
1. ask and answer.help the Ss to go over the contents learn before.) 1) What does Nora like doing?
2) What does she want to be when she grows up ? 3) What are Sandy’s futures plans? Why? 4) Who’s her favourite Chinese artist?
2. Go on drilling the dialogues, then talk about their friends’ hobbies and future plans. Step 2 Presentation.
1. Show some pictures of famous stars the Ss are known. Let the Ss talk about their appearance, then the teacher ask “What does the man/woman look like ?” the teacher leads the Ss to try to say “He’s strong/tall/smart…,She‘s slim/beautiful…”then the teacher write the adjectives on the Bb.
2. T:We can use the words to describe people’s looks.Now Can you tell me some words that we use to describe people’s feelings?
Encourage the Ss to say more about the adjectives of feelings like: sad,happy, bored, interested.
3. The teacher gets the Ss to sum up the vocabulary about occupation, fruits, food ect ,using two minutes in four groups. Give a group compotition,which group is the winner? Step 3 Practice
1. the teacher says to the Ss:”If you want to remember the new words quickly, you can put the words into different groups to form a vocabulary tree.” 2. T: Now I’ll tell you how to draw a vocabulary tree.
a. Draw a big tree with some leaves.
b. On its branches ,write group names, e.g vegetables and fruits. c. Write down the words on the leaves of each branch. d. Draw a picture for each word if necessary.
