LangZhong Ancient CIty is one of the 4 well-known ancient cities in China.Anybody knows other 3? Some of you smile but keep silent;others looked puzzled, i think you have no idea about them. So let me tell you. They are LiJiang in YunNan,PingYao in ShanXi and SheXian County in AnHui. Among the 4 famous ancient cities in China, LangZhong Ancient City was built completely according to the Chinese FengShui or geomatic omens of the Tang Dynasty. That`s why it`s also called the Ancient City of Feng.
Well, FengShui advocates the cities and towns should be built against mountains and suitated on the riverside. The choice of seat is very important for construction of an ancient city according to FengShui theory. LangZhong Ancient City is surrounded by 3 rivers and 4 mountains. If you fly over the sky of the ancient city by airplane you can clearly see the contour of these mountains and rivers.
Besides, it`s also a famous historical and cultural city. It`s said that for the past past dynasties there are 4 number one scholars who came first in the highest imperial examination,94 scholars and hundreds of provincial graduates.
Today, we will visit HuaGuang Tower,Nan JinGuan Ancient Town, ZhangFei Temple ang JinPing Mountain.
Now, we are facing the symbolic building of LangZhong ---HuaGuang Tower. There is a saying: One who don`t climb the HuaGuang Tower hasn`t been to LangZhong. That`s why we chose it as our first place to visit. Because this builing is the first and the most significant building in LangZhong. It`s also called the first building of LangZhong. HuanGuang Tower is located in the south of LangZhong city. The characteristics of HuaGuang Tower can be described in 3 words: old, tall and magical. Firstly, it has a long history. This building was built in Tang Dynasty. It`s about 1000 years up to now. Secondly, it is 36 meters high with 4 floors, which is taller than YueYang Tower. This building is the best place to see the whole city especiallly the 4th floor. Lastly, there is a lengend about its magical. It said that HuaGuang is a powerful God of ancient China and HuaGuang is the Lord God of HuaGuang Tower. It`s a sacred tower in local people`s mind. Now, let`s enjoy the beautiful view of this city. The stairs are very steep and long, please watch your steps.
