Recently, I did a survey on what middle school students use the Internet for. The results are as follows.

Many students read news at home and abroad via the Internet, which broadens their horizons. Besides, many students learn English through the Internet, which is very effective. What’s more, students can amuse themselves by sending e-mails, listening to music, watching movies and playing computer games. Last but not least, online shopping is becoming more and more popular among students.

However, every coin has two sides. For one thing, some students are addicted to computer games, thus leading to bad academic performance. For another, looking through unhealthy information does do harm to their physical and mental health.
