Revision of Attributive Clauses

Teaching aims: 教学目标)

At the end of this period, students will be able to:

1. consolidate the knowledge of attributive clauses; (巩固之前所学知识)

2. apply the grammatical rules from four aspects: listening, speaking, reading, as well as

writing a letter of thanks; (从听说读写四个方面应用语法规则)

3. cultivate the spirit of overcoming difficulties, so as to make impossible to “I’m

Teaching procedures:教学步骤)

Step1. Lead-in 导入

Play a song whose name is Lemon Tree, in order to introduce todays topic attributive clauses. 播放歌曲“柠檬树”,引入复习的第一个话题定语从句。 Step2. Review 复习

Guide students to review the definition and structure of attributive clauses, in the form of blank filling. 以填空形式引导学生复习定语从句的定义及结构。 Step3. Competition 竞赛

Divide students into four big groups, and involve them in the discussion and application of the grammatical rules in groups. 将学生分成四组,以小组互助学习形式讨论语法规则。 Task1. Attributive clauses from the textbook 来源于课本的定语从句

Review what theyve learnt in the textbook, using attributive clauses. 用定语从句复习M1所学 Unit 1: 想念着英国留学时光的魏华,希望能再次回到那学习 Unit 2: 很多青少年感到没人能理解他们在青春期期间经历的变化。

Let students read a letter of thanks. Identify the attributive clauses in groups and try to summarize the special rules related to each sentence, especially the rules about relative pronouns. 感恩节将至,读一封感谢信,找出定语从句并总结其中规则,重点关系代词的运用。

Task3. Attributive clauses from exercises (the usage of relative adverbs) 来源于练习题的定语从句(关系副词及介词+关代的运用)

Write a letter of thanks, using attributive clauses. 运用定语从句写封感谢信。
