V-ing form as Subject and Object
众所周知,语法课一直是一种比较枯燥的课型,很难让学生动起来。我一直在尝试如何将枯燥的语法课上得更有趣,让学生在相对轻松、快乐的氛围中学得更有效,并通过活动使学生掌握必要的语法规则。自己上学的时候,英语教师一般直接把语法规则告诉我们,然后就是做大量的练习,而这些练习中,可能有很多是没有真实语境的,这种操练实际上是无效的,对于学生提高英语水平是不利的。所以,我一直认为:上语法课,安排语法练习也应该设置一个相对真实的语境,让学生去进行操练,这样会有效得多。今天这个语法设计我只是给出一个方案、一种尝试,希望借此和大家一起探讨。 教材依据:
人教版高一教材模块4第二单元Discovering useful structures部分的内容为动词 -ing 形式用作主语和宾语.
教学过程: Step One:
一:Warming up (Listening to an English song)
教学思路:听英文歌曲填入所缺歌词引入本节课的目标语言结构动词-ing 形式。学生通过听,写,看的形式,在教师的提示下自我发现并关注目标语言的形式和用法,同时也进行热身,为同学们营造一种轻松和谐的学习环境。 LOVE ── By John Lennon
Love is real; real is love. Love is feeling; feeling love. Love is wanting to be loved.
Love is touch; touch is love. Love is reaching; reaching love. Love is asking to be loved. Love is you, you and me. Love is knowing we can be.

首先让学生仔细听歌曲,把空缺的词填上,由于目的在于引入而非训练听力,因而歌词较简单,让学生明确只听一遍;听完请一位同学呈现结果,大家共同验证信息的正确性;最后引导学生观察所填单词,发现共同点,引入本节课的主题:动词 -ing 形式。 二:Discovering structures
教学思路:通过名人名言、俗语及绕口令,引导学生发现V-ing Form as Subject and Object这一目标语言结构,同时对学生进行情感教育。
首先,让学生高声朗读下列句子,接着,请学生将它们翻译成汉语并自然获得动词 -ing 形式可作主语和宾语,从而切入课题。
1. Having too much experience is a dangerous thing. 经验过多反而危险。 2. A good beginning makes a good ending. 善始者善终。
3. Reading without reflecting is like eating without digesting.读书不加思考,如同吃东西不经消化。

一:学习动词 -ing 形式用作主语
要求学生用动词-ing形式解释表格中的文本信息,第一题先给出答案作为例子,引导学生在运用中掌握动词- ing 形式用作主语。 Text messages Meaning

Getting water from wet to dry places is necessary. 2. It is not difficult to learn more about farming. Learning more about farming is not difficult.

二: 学习动词 -ing 和不定式充当宾语的异同
通过下列文字所描绘的情境,使学生在形象化、真实化的语境中明白动词-ing 和不定式充当宾语的异同。
I remember the fact that I gave a gift to Tom for his holiday yesterday. (remember giving)
I remember the fact that I will give a gift to Tom for his holiday tomorrow. (remember to give)
三:学习动词 -ing 形式用作宾语
要求学生用动词-ing形式解释表格中的文本信息。通过文字所描绘的语境,引导学生在运用中掌握动词 -ing 形式用作宾语,并共同回顾、归纳只跟动词 -ing 形式用作宾语的动词、短语,引导学生自己发现问题、分析问题、解决问题。 Text messages Meaning
