形容词最髙级构成和用法

一、 最高级用于三个或三个以上的人或事物的比较，其基本句式是：

主语+谓语（系动词/行为动词）+the+*高级+名词+表示比较范围的介词短语或从句。 表示比较范围的介词一般有of和in。

Eg. She is the cleverest girl of the three.

It' s the cheapest car in China.

二、 形容词最高级的构成 （-）规则变化：

① 单音节词和少数双音节词：

1-词尾+ust

cold-coldcr-coldcst fast-faster-fiistcst warm-warmcr-warmcst 2. 以u结尾，词尾+st:

nicc-niccr-niccst largt-largcr-largcst

3. 重读闭音节词尾只有一个辅音宇母，双写辅音字母，加ust:

big-biggerr-biggest

th ill- th imic r- th i lilies t hot-hottcr-hottcst

4. 以“辅音宇母+y”结尾，变y为i加ust:

casy-casicr-casicst happy-happicr-happicst

② 多音节词和部分双音节词在词前加most:

三、 注意

1. 表示“最…之一”的句式：one of the +*高级+名词复数; Eg. Jim is one of the best students in his class. Suzhou is one of die most beautiful cities in China. 2. “thu+序数词+最高饭”表示“第几个最…”； Eg. Thu Yellow River is the second longest river in China 3. 当昙高级前有物主代词或君词所有格时，不加the ; Eg. Monday is my busiest day. J ack is Jim' s best friend・


4. 比较级与最高级的转换；

Eg. He is taller than any other boys in his class. He is the tallest boy in his class.
