Unit 3 At the zoo B. Let’s learn Teaching Design

I. Teaching aims:

can be able to read the following words: short, long, big, small fluently.

playing games and practice, students can use the four words and thesentence pattern “It

has（a） …”to describe an animal. important points:

i. Read, listen, say and use the four words: short, long,big, small. can do the right action when they hear the order. III. Teaching difficulties:

Pronunciation of the word “has”. How to pronounce the letter“a”. IV. Teaching aids:

PC,PPT, word cards, some nice cards( students’ prize) V. Teaching steps: Step I. Warm up& Review. to the students.

talk. （use the topic “do you like story I will tell you a story today.” bring students to take a trip to the zoo.）

iii. Review the words “thin”“fat” “short”“tall” . Say hello to the “word friends”. Hello “thin”.hello“fat”…

Let’s do together. (students do following the video.) Step II. Presentation.

i. T:We’ve known these four word friends. Do you want to meet the other four Ss: yes!

T: Now, let’s go on our trip to the zoo.

教师带领学生以讲故事的形式，继续动物园之旅，途中认识了另外四个“单词朋友”。

ii.教授新单词short,紧接着以重复读的形式练习单词。以同样的方法教授和带领学生训练单词long, big, small. iii.以游戏方式继续训练四个所学单词。

“我比划你来猜”。要求学生看老师口型，说出老师要表达的是哪个单词，教师对回答正确的同学以奖励星星的形式给所在小组加分。

“Let’s do.”和学生一起看视频做动作巩固新单词。

“跟我一起写”教师在黑板上板书四个单词，要求学生一起用手指在空中写出单词。写后从跟读到一起朗读，巩固发音。

“猜猜是哪个动物”。要求学生根据教师的描写，猜出所描述的动物，猜对者予以卡片奖励。 iv. 呈现新句型“It has (a)…”

在游园的过程中，Miss Zhang 突然停下来了，因为她看到了一只大鸟，引出鸵鸟“ostrich”。带领学生一起观察鸵鸟的身体各部位特征。让学生以贴卡片的形式，将鸵鸟的身体部位单词，与黑板上的新学单词搭配。

单词搭配过后，趁机引出句型。“It has (a)…”. Step III Production

大家看到鸵鸟，观察鸵鸟，议论鸵鸟，然后结束一次愉快的动物园之旅。启发学生思考一个问题“从这次游园活动中得到什么启示，你收获了什么”。

此环节教师要求学生尽量用学过的英语表达，必要时也可以用中文描述。学生回答后，教师及时作出评价。

教师根据学生回答情况做再次总结，对学生进行情感教育，提醒学生文明安全游园，做文明的小学生。

i. 听读录音，熟悉所学的8个“单词朋友”。

ii. 画一个自己喜欢的动物，试着用8个“单词朋友”去描述它。 Blackboard design.
