二、首段：写作背景与写信目的（1-3句咨询/ 4-5句回复咨询） 1.我写信是想问你一些相关信息。
I am writing to ask you for some relevant information.
2. 我想就一个问题咨询你——我该为即将来临的比赛做些什么准备。
I would like to consult you about what preparations I should make for the coming contest. 3. 为了确保你在这里过得愉快，我需要一些更详细的信息。

To make sure of your happy stay, I am writing to ask you for some detailed information. 4.了解到你打算去中国朋友家做客，以及对中国习俗感到困惑,我写信提供一些建议。 Learning/Hearing/Knowing that you are about to pay a visit to a Chinese friend and confused about the Chinese customs, I am writing to put forward some advice.
