自拍直白的说就是take self-portrait / take one's own picture 但是还有更精简常用的说法就是take selfies

相信很多人都曾默默自拍过，或高调发布自拍到网上任凭大家评头论足。对着镜子摆出完美pose，自拍早已成为一种生活消遣。

A selfie is a photo someone takes of themselves, usually on a smartphone. Often they are snapped in front of a mirror for ease of framing, and in social websites like twitter they are uploaded thick and fast.

There need be no particular context for a selfie. They are not generally photos of people on holidays or doing something out of the ordinary; they are essentially self-portraits shared with anyone who cares to view them using social media. 自拍是指自己给自己拍的照片。通常，人们拿着智能手机，为了取景方便，站在镜子面前，“咔嚓”一声便是一张自拍。随后，照片便迅速地被大量上传至推特之类的社交网站上。

第一段中的snap是动词“拍摄”，因本身有“劈啪作响”之意，因而多用来指“快拍”。 此外，snap还有名词“快照、照片”之意，如“街拍”的表达便是street snap。

另外，第一段末的thick and fast指“大量而急速地（频频；密集地）”，是一个副词词组；与之类似的有thick and thin：艰难险阻。
