Good morning, my dear supervisors. It is a great honor for me to be here for this interview. First let me introduce myself briefly. My name is LGL, 22 years old. I come from Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province. And I will graduate from the Political Science and Law Department of Binzhou College, this July. In the past two years, I have been exerting all my strength for the postgraduate examination. As the proverb runs, “Where there is a will, there is a way”, I finally have a chance to be interviewed by you. I am making my great efforts to obtain a key to Huazhong Normal University. Thank you for giving me such a valuable opportunity.
Frankly speaking, I am a hard-working student, especially when doing the things I am interested in. I will try my best to finish it no matter how difficult it is. Furthermore, being a person with great perseverance and confidence, I never lose faith in my favorite fields. During the days preparing for the first examination, I insisted on running every two days, no matter what the weather was like. I always keep in mind the irrefutable truth: God helps those who help themselves. And just owning to this, I could concentrate on my study and eventually get a satisfying score.
So far as I’m concerned, knowledge is of prime importance. Accordingly, I have a mania for reading and most of my free time was spent in the library. I read a significant number of political science books. For example, The Prince, an absorbing book, written by Nicollo Machiavelli.And Democracy and Top, an absorbing book as well, written by Yu Keping. In addition, I take great pleasure in reading books on Local Government, where my greatest interest lies.
With the purpose of realizing my dream of becoming a teacher in the university, I took the postgraduate exams. I place a very high value on the postgraduate studies considering it can not only enrich my knowledge but also lay the solid roots for my future job. I sincerely hope that I can have the chance to study in Huazhong Normal University for a higher education. If I am lucky enough to be enrolled into this famous institute, I will avail myself of this valuable opportunity to make my dream come true.
