Good morning everyone. Today I want to talk about the important issue of reducing plastic waste.

So what can we do to reduce plastic waste? Here are some ideas:
- Refuse single-use plastics whenever possible – straws, bags, bottles, packaging etc. Carry reusable versions instead.
- Support bans on certain non-essential plastic items like straws, bags and styrofoam take-out containers.
- Choose products with minimal plastic packaging. Buy in bulk using your own reusable containers.
- Recycle properly and advocate for improved recycling systems in your community.
- Organize neighborhood plastic clean-ups to remove waste.
- Spread awareness about this issue through social media, conversations with friends and family, and community events.
Small individual actions add up to big change. If we all reduce our plastic use, companies and governments will follow. We must treat plastic waste as the urgent threat it is. Our oceans, wildlife, and our own health are at risk. But together, we can build a sustainable future free of plastic pollution. It starts with each of us.
