英语作文：英语演讲比赛的通知 English speech contest Dear students,
We are pleased to announce that the school will be holding an English speech contest. The contest will be held in the school auditorium on Friday, June 14th.
The purpose of the contest is to provide students with an
opportunity to practice their English speaking skills and to gain confidence in their abilities. All students in grades 5 to 8 are eligible to participate. The contest will consist of two rounds: the first round will be a short, two-minute speech on a topic of the student's choice, and the second round will be a three-minute speech on a topic chosen by the judges.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three finalists. The first place winner will receive a cash prize of $500, the second place winner will receive a cash prize of $300, and the third place winner will receive a cash prize of $200.
If you are interested in participating, please submit your application form to the school office by Friday, May 31st.
