Riding on the Vertical Roller Coaster
Last year, I went to the Chime-Long Paradise with my friends. The vertical roller coaster in Chime-Long Paradise is very famous and I had been looking forward to ride on it for a long time.
When we entered the paradise, the vertical roller coaster caught our eyes first. It looks like a lofty snake, letting visitors slide on its body and scream, but never gets angry. So cool ! I thought. After waiting for about 40 minutes, it was our turn. I seated myself and the staff helped me tight the safety belt. I looked around, feeling that we were like prisoners waiting for execution. Because I can’t move and was wondering what was awaiting me. Then we started. When the roller coaster was moving, it reminded me of the moving train, the track and the similar sound. But the difference was, we were moving upward in the sky. I once admired the birds flying in the sky. At the moment I got the chance to experience it, though not that free because of the safety belt. Later we reached a platform and stopped for a while. When I looked down, I felt my heartbeat accelerating, but suddenly stopped. I was falling! There was a moment when I feared I was dying. Soon I found breathing regularly a kind of happiness. I thought the ride was over but the restarting train poured cold water on me. Later I found myself dropping . The sky made another joke on me. Again, my heart seemed to stop. Then it dropped off like a ball kissing the ground, but not that interesting as usual. I had seen a volleyball hitting the ground and then not round anymore.
At last when the returning train stopped, I said I would not do it a second time. So did another girl. Standing on the ground, it seemed that the crowd in the sky looked like hawks spreading their wings and soaring freely. But it was totally different when it came to my turn. I was clear that the experience made me cherish the time standing on the ground.
