a few, a bit of及a little是一些（some）的意思。通常认为这些数量词表示的量是足够的或高于期待值。a few用于复数名词，a bit of或a little用于不可数名词。 e.g.:

2) I’ve brought a few friends. 3) There’s a bit of milk left. 4) It needs a little more work.
few以及very little来说明所谈之物非常少量。通常认为这些数量词表示的量是不足的或低于期待值。few用于可数名词，very little用于不可数名词。 e.g.:
1) Few people came to the meeting.
2) There are few places where you can still see these birds. 3) We have very little time. 4) I have very little money.
注意little可不加very，但是这种表达不常用且显得不正式。 e.g.:
