形容词和副词
形容词变副词的规则 1.一些以辅音字母加-y结尾的形容词变为副词形式时, 把y改为-i, 再加-ly, 如:
easy—easily, angry—angrily, noisy—noisily。
2.以-ble或-le结尾的形容词变为副词形式时去-e加-y, 如: possible—possibly, terrible
—terribly, simple—simply, comfortable—comfortably。
3.以-ue结尾的形容词变为副词形式时去-e加-ly, 如: true—truly。
4.以-l结尾的形容词变为副词形式时在词尾加-ly, 如: usual—usually, careful—carefully。 5.以-ll结尾的形容词变为副词形式时在词尾加-y, 如: full—fully。
形容词、 副词比较级
1. 形容词和副词的比较级和最高级的构成规则 (1)规则变化
构成法 原 级 比较级 最高级
great 单音节词末一般直接加er和-est brave/ late 单音节词以-e结尾, 只加-r和-st
闭音节单音节词如末尾只有一个
big
辅音字母, 需先双写这个辅音字
hot
母, 再加er和-est
以辅音字母加-y结尾的词, 先变
happy
-y为i, 再加-er和-est
双音节和多音节词在前面加moredifficult
expensive 和most
(2)不规则变化 原 级 比较级 最高级 good/well bad/badly/ill
many/much(多) little(少)
farthest/furthest far(远) farther(多指距离)/further(多指程度)

further 不仅可以指“距离更远” , 还可指“程度更深” 。 如: further education(深造), further information(进一步的信息)等。
2.形容词、 副词比较级用法
(1)表示“„„比„„更„„” 用“形容词/副词的比较级+than” 结构。 —Goods imported from abroad are not always better than those made in China. —Yes. Some of the goods made in our country are of high quality. (2)the+比较级+of the two(两者中较„„的一个)。 The taller of the two boys is my brother.
(3)“the+形容词/ 副词比较, the+形容词/ 副词比较级” 表示“越„„, 越„„” The more you’ve learned, the better equipped for the future you’ll be.
(1)比较级前可用a little, a bit, a little bit, slightly等修饰, 表示“稍微, 一点儿” 。 It’s a little bit colder today than it was yesterday.

表示倍数的句型:
(1)A is+倍数+比较级+than+B (2)A is+倍数+as+原级+as+B
(3)A is+倍数+the+名词(size, length, height等)+of+B (4)A is+倍数+that/those of+B
