Unit 14 I remember meeting all of you in Grade 7.

The Fifth Period－Section B(3a－3b) & Self Check

Teaching Important Points 【教学重点】 Key sentences：

1.I can't believe that today is the last day of junior high school. 2.I still remember the first day of Grade 7 like it was yesterday. Key structure： Review the tenses.

Teaching Steps 【教学过程】 ★Step 1 Leading in 【新课导入】 1．Greeting 2．Review

Talk about their junior high school life.

Ask：Who will you never forget？Or what event will you never forget? Get the students to tell about a person or an event.The teacher asks questions to help them organize their languages.Help them to review the words and expressions.

★Step 2 Cooperative inquiry 【合作探究】 1．Finish the task in 3a

①Get the students to read the questions in 3a and write the answers to these questions.

②Ask and answer these questions orally.And make a short passage to tell about a person or an event and report to the class.

2．Finish the task in 3b

①Ask the students to prepare for the written work.

②Write the passage after class and share their work in the next class. 3．Finish the tasks in Self Check Activity 1

①Read the demand and write the feelings of their own about their junior high school life.

②Students discuss and share their feelings with their partners. ③Check the work.The teacher asks some students about the topics. What made you excited/…in junior high school? Activity 2

①Teach the students to read the whole passage and get the main ideas in it. ②Fill in the blanks with the proper forms of the given words. ③Check the answers and ask why they fill in them like those.

④Read aloud the passage.And write about their own feelings on their last day in junior high school after class.

★Step 3 Homework

1．Practice giving a speech for graduation after class. 2．Write about their last day，telling the feelings. 3．Translate the following sentences into English. (1)我仍然记得七年级的第一天。
