Recently,I have been reading the short stories of famous scholars.When I entered junior high school,it takes a long time to read the long stories.Moreover,I always delay my study and annoy my father because I don't know the ending.So I just learned to be good and read one or two articles every night or in my spare time.
Maupassant,O'Henry,Balzac and Mark Twain,these people have barely read them.Generally speaking,I prefer O'Henry's short stories.Those endings are often unexpected and with extremely humorous satire.Just take the charming silhouette as an example.It tells about a man who always loves money The miserly old woman accidentally gave a girl a lot of
money.Finally,the author revealed the answer-the girl's side face looked like the head on a silver coin.Seeing this,I couldn't help laughing.What a funny reason,what a pungent satire.Just such a wonderful detail will show the old woman's enthusiasm for money incisively and vividly.Perhaps,such a coincidence does not really exist,but this pursuit of money is happening all the time in the real society.
Another reason why I like O'Henry is that his articles eulogizing truth,goodness and beauty and the love of the people
at the bottom of the society are still full of strange ideas,but they just add warmth between the lines.The most popular nature is Maggie's gift and the last leaf.When I read that the old painter in the last leaf fell ill and died because he painted leaves on a snowy night,my eyes were full of tears.The green of life gave the young painter the courage to regenerate,but also made the kind old man leave.However,this great love and great care for others are the bright spots in this story.When all the great figures are intriguing,flattering and performing a funny play,these people from the bottom give us spiritual washing and warmth again and again.
