Step1 Warm up

Teacher shows students some pictures and asks them whether they have read the books.

Teacher invites students to talk about their opinions whether they like the book or the movie.

Teacher asks students to predict the author’s viewpoint through reading the title “Good Book, Bad Movie?” Teacher asks students to read paragraph one and check their predictions.

Teacher encourages students to identify the genre and summarize the structure by reading the following paragraphs.

Teacher leads students to summarize the arguments and analyze how the author develops his ideas paragraph by paragraph.

Teacher asks students to read the conclusion part and conclude the author’s opinon.

Teacher motivates students to read the last paragraph again and summarize the author’s real meaning beyond the sentences.

To activate what students have known and arouse their interest.
