Ⅰ. translate

translate作动词，意为“翻译”，它常与into构成短语translate ... into ...，意

为“把„„翻译成„„”。例如：

Translate the following sentences into Chinese, please. 请把下列句子译成汉语。

▲拓展：translation和translator都是translate的名词形式，前者意为“翻译；

译文”，后者意为“翻译者”。例如：

I like the French translation of A Farewell to Arms very much. 我非常喜欢《永别了，武器》的法文译本。 His dream is to be a translator when he grows up. 他的梦想是长大后成为一名翻译。 Ⅱ. advice

1. advice意为“建议；劝告”，它是不可数名词，若表示一条或几条建议或劝告，要借用量词piece。例如：

Could you give me a piece of advice？ 你能给我提一条建议吗？

I have some pieces of advice to tell you. 我有一些建议要告诉你。

2. 表示提出建议或忠告，一般用动词 give；表示向某人请教或征求意见，一般用ask(for)；表示接受意见或劝告，一般用动词take。例如： He gave us a piece of advice on how to learn English well. 他对怎样学好英语给我们提了一条建议。 He asked for the teacher‘s advice. = He asked the teacher for his advice. 他向老师征求了意见。

I took his advice and went to the station early. 我听从了他的劝告，很早就去了车站。
