儒家文化 Confucianism

A：我听说儒家文化在世界上特别有名非常有名，特别是在中国，你能跟我讲讲有关于儒家文化的吗？

A：I have heard that Confucianism is very famous around the world especially in China. Can you tell me something about it?

B：当然可以！儒家文化是春秋时期的孔子发明的并由孟子进行延伸的。这就是孔孟之道。 B：Of course! Confucianism is founded by Confucius in the Spring and Autumn Period, and further developed by Mencius

A：那么“儒家文化”是什么意思呢？ A：What does Confucianism means?

B：儒家文化这个名字是由一个西方传教士所取，在中文里面无意义

B：Confucianism is a name given by a Western missionary which has no meaning in Chinese. A：原来是这样呀!那儒家文化是怎么在中国兴起的呢？ A：So it is! How did the Confucianism developed in China?

B：当汉武帝的把儒家文化作为国学的时候，儒家文化就成为中国的主流哲学在中国流行了近2000年，在后来传到了韩国和日本并深深的影响了两国的文化

B：Since Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty decided to take Confucianism as the official philosophy, it has been the mainstream of Chinese philosophy for about 2000years and later spreaded to Korea and Japan and has been influential in the two cultures.

A：我听说儒家文化对中国的文明有着巨大的影响，具体是怎么样的呢？

A：I know that the Confucianism has an impact on the Chinese civilization, what’s it?

B：儒家文化作为中国家庭结构的根基是中国人民生活中的一部分，是人们价值观、行为观的向导

B：Confucianism was part of Chinese people’s daily life as the foundation of Chinese family structure, and the guidance for personal attitudes and behaviors. A：那么孔子主张什么呢？

A：So what does the Confucius advocate?

B：孔子主张：君为臣纲、夫为妻纲、父为子纲并且强调五大美德：仁义礼智信为最基本道德标准

B：Confucius advocates absolute authority of a king over his subject, a husband over his wife and a father over his son and stresses the five constant virtues which was benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and fidelity as the basic ethical code A：孔子真是太棒了！ A：Confucius was so great!

B：孔子不仅影响了中国的文化，还对古代中国的教育做出了巨大的贡献。他倡导启发式教育，师生平等，倡导学生形成自己的思维方式，并且把教育普及化。

B：Confucius was not only impacted the civilization of China, but also made a great contribution to education in ancient China. He invented the elicitation method, advocated equality between teachers and students and encouraged students to form opinions of their own. He brought education to all people.

A：儒家文化真的对中国文化有着巨大的影响，这是不可忽视的

A：Confucianism really has a big impact on the Chinese civilization that can not be overlooked!
