①. need作实义动词，意为“需要”，need+名词/代词，Human need air. We need 2 spoons of honey. need to do sth. 需要做某事， Do you need to stay at home? 你要呆在家里吗？ ②. need作情态动词，一般只用于对must的否定回答，不用于肯定句。 —Must he leave now? —No, he needn't. 不，他不必。 3. Cut up the bananas.切碎香蕉。
