①Work in groups.Ask:
What is the most important thing you have learned in junior high school? Get the students to think about it and then discuss it in groups.
②Ask individual students the question.Then say “We may find a good answer to this question in the following passage.” and lead to the reading.
2.Finish the task in 2b
①Ask the questions in 2b and get the students to focus on the literary form and the writing aims.Students can guess the answers.Then read the passage for the first time.And answer them.
②Read the passage and get the details.Students read the article and learn the key words and expressions.For example,be thirsty for,be thankful to sb.,ahead of,along with,be responsible for,set out,separate from,etc.
3.Finish the task in 2c ①Read the questions in 2c.
②Read the passage again and ask some students to answer the questions. 4.Finish the task in 2d.
①Read the article slowly and learn the structure of the writing.Then find the key sentences and key words or phrases in each paragraph.Get them to write down the words and phrases.
②Get the students to learn how to write a speech for graduation.Feel the pleasure and the pride in the speech and learn to be thankful to the people around us.
③Read the article and learn the new words.Finish the task in 2d.Ask several students to read the sentences and say their Chinese meaning.
5.Finish the task in 2e
①Read the instructions.Get the students to underline the sentences they like.Make a list.
②Students share their sentences in groups. ③Read aloud the passage by the recording. ★Step 3 Homework
1.Read aloud the passage in 2b until fluently and learn the new words and expressions in it.
2.Write down the list of their sentences in the exercise books. 3.Translate the following sentences into English. (1)感谢你们大家来参加毕业典礼。
