英語話劇校隊徵角暨美工徵才

校隊徵角欣賞過校內熱鬧、精采的班際英語話劇比賽，是否讓你不禁技癢、躍躍欲試。機會來了！現在我們要邀請技高一籌的你，加入校隊的演出，參加縣賽，肯定自我並贏得佳績。以下，角色徵選的細部內容，也請你看清楚，為自己把握機會囉! 【參加者可自行報名或由老師推薦】

劇情大要

國王為了得到縫被人的精緻拼被，不惜用強硬的手段，無所不用其極，仍無功而返。縫被人堅持原則，只將拼被送給需要的人，幾番折騰下，有了戲劇性的發展，縫被人是否會屈服於國王的威脅利誘---。

角色

(1)拼被人:溫和慈祥的老太太，同時也有著強硬堅持的一面，是本戲的重要角色 (2)熊:看似兇狠，其實是個沒睡好的俗辣 (3)小鳥:楚楚可憐，跳起舞來卻動感十足 (4)乞丐:貧窮潦倒、可憐

報名時間： 3 / 18(二) 放學前報名地點：訓導處吳盛正老師

甄選辦法： (1)指定項目：個別角色的劇本橋段請洽吳盛正老師索取，或逕至花崗國中網

頁下載，徵選時請背誦演出(可a.單獨詮釋 b. 自找夥伴演出 c. 現場人員搭配對話)

(2)自選項目：一分鐘英語歌唱或舞蹈【註：兩項皆須準備】甄選時間： 3 / 19 (三) 第七節甄選地點：簡報室

除了幕前表演的同學之外，我們更需借用您的才華，甄選幕後背景及道具製作的堅強陣容。請各位同學(七、八年級)，於3/18(二)前洽訓導處吳盛正老師報名或e-mail至：繳交報名表。

意者請同學於3/21(四)前繳交任何美術作品(不拘形式：書畫、攝影、視覺藝術

The Quilt maker's Gift

Narrator: Once upon a time, on a high mountain covered with fog, lived a kind old quilt maker. She

sewed quilts day and night. People said her quilting was the angel’s cape fallen into human’s world. People dreamed to have one of her quilt, but nobody does, ever. She made them only for the poor.

King: Ha!Ha!Ha! I’m so rich, handsome, and powerful. Oh, how I love to receive gifts. Who dare

not give me gift? Dare you not? Another sleepless night is driving me crazy.

Soldier A: This is the list of today’s tribute. There’re ten carriages, nine horses, and eight boxes of

chocolates.

King: OK! Hold it! Very well, put them into my storeroom. Now! Soldier A: Yes your Highness!

King: My storeroom is as huge as a shopping mall, but it’s not enough. Why that stubborn women

living on the mountain never gives me gifts. Why? Her quilting is the most magic and the warmest in the world. They said her quilts can heal insomnia .Why had I never got one! You! Tell me why?

Soldier: Because she only gives the gifts to the poor.

King: I would never take a no for an answer. Bring her to me! Right now! (痛苦狀)

Soldier B: Yes your highness!

King: Old woman! Give me a quilting!

Quilt maker: My quilting is only for poor men. You’re rich enough to have anything you need. You

don’t need my quilting.

King: HN! If you don’t do it, I’m afraid I’ll take it myself whatever it takes…Do it!. Quilt maker: Help! Someone is hitting an old woman.

King & Soldier : Quilting!!

Quilt maker: I already said it. You are not poor. You have comfortable beds and worm quilts already.

You don’t need it! Think of the poor.

King: OK! OK! Take her to the wild and feed her to the wildest beast. Soldier: You mean the bear?(害怕狀)

King: I say it one more time. Would you present me a quilting?

Quilt maker: And I say it one more time here. IN YOUR DREAM.

King: Then you’ll be eaten by the bear. HA!HA! Very well, you shall be the bear’s dinnar!

Narrator: Quilt maker had been locked in front of the bear’s cave. She couldn’t move no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn’t break free. The terrible sounds of snoring came out from the dark cave, but she stayed calm as usual.

Bear: Why me!? Why can’t I get some real sleep? Quilt maker: Young man. Be quiet! I need more sleep. Bear: Who…who are you!? What are you doing here!?

Quilt maker: It’s a long story. See , I have been set up and locked here. Help me out, I’ll tell you

everything and give you a present as a reward.

Bear: I am the king in the forest. Why should I listen to you, an old ugly woman? Quilt maker: Believe it or not! I can solve your problem.

Bear: All right! Whatever you say…

Quilt maker: I know you couldn’t sleep well. That’s why the king thought you’re so hot tempered. Here, this cushion will help you sleep! Have a nice dream!

Bear: Thank you!

King: That witch! What can I do with her? OK! Abandon her on an isolated tiny island in the

middle of the ocean. There will be no place for her to rest. She’ll dose off, fall into the sea and get drown. Let’s wait and see.

Narrator: The soldier got the woman again. But this time, she was put on the smallest island. There

was no place to sit let alone sleep. She kept cool as she did. A fat bird flew weakly over, looking hopeless.

Bird: I’m too fat to fly all the way to the south, and I ‘m so cold and hungry. Help!

Quilt maker: Are you OK? Let me make you a great cope to keep you warm. Are you feeling any better?

Bird: It’s so kind of you to help me. Let me give you a free flight home. Quilt maker: All right. Fly me back to the king.

King: What can I do to get some sleep? I am dying for the magic quilting to get rid of my insomnia.

Please tell me.

Quilt maker: Send all your tribute to the poor. By the time you finish what I said, your quilting will

be finished.

King: What? That’s my whole world. How can I give them up? Let me think about it…All right, all

right! Whatever you say. You! Take all the gifts out. I’ll send them all to my people. Soldier: Yes your highness!

King: What’s wrong? Are you cold and hungry? You can sell this. Then you’ll get more money. Beggar A: Thank you for your kindness, you highness! You’re such a kind and handsome king.

King: I have never heard anyone say thanks to me. It feels so great. I have never know how happy it

makes me to give away things. Keep it going! All the tribute to all my people. Narrator: The king started his journey around the world to give away things. King: Here! This must be useful or helpful somehow, my people. Beggar B: Thank you!!

King: Ha! All tribute had sent out! This is the first time I feel relieved and happy.. King: What’s this?

Quilt maker: This is what I promised you. Now your no longer rich. You’re only a poor king who

deserves my quilting. You can have a sound sleep, at last.

Narrator: Sometimes you need to give before you take. In this story, we have learned :”the more we

help others, the happier we will be.” I hope there is one precious present right somewhere for you and we all can be happier.
