1How was the exam? = How did the exam go? 考试已完,所以用过去时。 2Not too bad. / Just so so. / Pretty good.

3I think I passed in English and Mathematics. 宾语从句 pass 及格 VS 不及格 fail

在某一科目中要用介词in,但如果后面加的是某一种考试则不需要介词。 例如:pass/fail the English test/exam/paper

enough 足够地,副词,修饰形容词,用在形容词之后:easy enough

enough 足够的,形容词,修饰名词,用在名词之前:enough books/money

for 对…来说。例如:The house is big enough for us. Shes old enough to go to school. 6I hope I haven't failed. I think I failed the French Test. 宾语从句。

couldcan的过去式,后面同样是加动词原形,否定形式couldnt sixteen of the questions 试题中的16道。例如:two of the students 8But I couldn't answer the rest (of the questions). 9They were too difficult for me. 注意区别:difficult VS different

too 也;② 太,过于。例句:This pair of shoes are too small for me. too...to... 太…而不能…。例句:He is too young to go to school. 10French tests are awful, aren't they? 反意疑问句。

awful 修饰人或物,表示“很糟糕、很讨厌、很可怕”

反意疑问句:前肯后否,前否后肯,注意人称和数的变化,回答绝对依据事实。 例句:-You are a student, arent you? -Yes, I am. 对,我是学生。 -You arent a student, are you? -No, Im not. 不,我不是学生。 11I'm sure I've got a low mark. 宾语从句。

low mark 低分 ←→ 高分 high mark 考试考得好/不好:I have done well/badly. 12Cheer up! 高兴点!别灰心!振作起来!(鼓励用语) 13Perhaps we didn't do too badly.

perhaps 可能,大概,或许。too = so 那么。badly 副词,修饰动词。 14The guy next to me wrote his name at the top of the paper.

next to = beside 在…旁边。

at the top of... 在…顶端,在…上方 ←→ 在…下方,在…末端 at the bottom of... 15Yes? = And then? 是么?然后呢?

16Then he sat there and looked at it for three hours!

then 然后。there 副词,前不用介词。look at... 看着…。

for + 时间段:持续了多长时间。例句:I have lived here for ten years. 四、总结与练习

1、情态动词的过去式:can couldcant couldnt;不因人称和数的变化而变化。 I can answer the questions. I could answer the questions.

-Could you answer the questions? -Yes, I could. He cant answer the questions. He couldnt answer the questions.

-Could he answer the questions? -No, he couldnt. 2、副词:too VS very 非常 VS enough 足够

1toovery通常放在所修饰的形容词之前,而enough要放在所修饰的形容词之后:The questions were too/very difficult. The questions were easy enough.

2enoughtoo可以与介词to搭配使用,但意义不同:

The questions were easy enough (for me) to answer. The questions were too difficult (for me) to answer.
