know who wrote these words, but lrsquo;ve always liked them as a remin der that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the positi on of the farmers. If we pla nt a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we pla nt no thi ng at all, we harvest no thi ng at all.

We are young. “ How to spend the youth? ” It is a meanin gful questi on. To an swer it, first I have to ask “ what do

you understand by the word youth? ” Youth is not a time of life, itrsquo;s a state of mind. Itrsquo;s not a matter of rosy

cheeks, red lips or supple kn ees. Itrsq uo;s the matter of the will. Itrsq uo;s the fresh ness of the deep spri ng of life.

A poet said “ To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heave n in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. Several days ago, I had a chanee to liste n to a lecture. I lear nt a lot there. Irsq uo;d like to share it with all of you. Letrsq uo;s show our right palms. We can see three

lines that show how our love.career and life is. I have a short line of life. What about yours? I won dered whether we could see our future in this way. Well, letrsq uo;s make a fist.

We all want the future to be better tha n the past. But the

future can go better itself. Donrsq uo;t cry because it is over, smile because it happe ned. From the past, wersqu o;ve lear nt that the life is tough, but we are tougher.
