Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is a national key university under the direct administration of the Chinese Ministry of Education. Established in 1949, DUT is one of the first universities to offer higher education in China.
DUT is a multi-disciplinary university, focusing on engineering and related areas, while also embracing Science, Management, Economics, Liberal Arts and Law. It has 21 schools, 67 bachelor degree programs and more than 150 master and doctor degree programs, and covers a wide range of academic areas.
DUT’s education is based on its strong scientific research capabilities. Its faculty and staff includes 12 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 foreign academician of the National Academy of Engineering of the United States, and 273 professors, 648 associate professors and 1763 lectures.
DUT pioneers in internationalization among Chinese universities. In 2017, DUT has established cooperative relationships with 495 universities from 71 countries and regions. Also, there are student exchange programs which allowed over 5000 DUT students to study abroad and over 3000 international student to study in DUT.
