形容词和副词的比较级的特殊用法



（1）表示两者作比较，用“比较级+than”结构，比较级前可加much, a lot, a little, even , far, still等词修饰。如：

This book is much better than that one.

（2）…times+形容词/ 副词比较级+than … 比„„大(长等)多少倍

The house is three times bigger than that one.

（3）形容词/ 副词比较级+than any other +单数名词，“比其他的任何„„都„„” He is taller than any other student in his class.

（4）“the+比较级…, the+比较级…”表示“越„„，越„„”

The harder you work, the better you will be.

（5）“比较级+and+比较级”表示“越来越„„”，多音节词常表示为：more and more +多音节词，如：

hotter and hotter, more and more beautiful

（6）“the+比较级+of the two+名词复数”表示“两者中较„„的一个” He is the taller of the two boys.
