tián jiā yuán rì

田家元日--[唐]孟浩然

Zuó yè dòu huí běi，

昨 夜 斗 回 北，

jīn zhāo suìqǐdōng。

今 朝 岁 起 东。

wǒ nián yǐqiáng shì，

我 年 已 强 仕，

wúlùshàng yōu nóng。

无 禄 尚 忧 农。

sāng yějiù gēng fù，

桑 野 就 耕 父，

Hé chú suí mù tóng。

荷 锄 随 牧 童。

tián jiā zhàn qìhòu，

田 家 占 气 候，

gòng shuō cǐ nián fēng。

共 说 此 年 丰。

译文

昨天夜里北斗星的斗柄转向东方，今天早晨新的一年又开始了。 我今年已经四十岁了，虽然没有官职但仍担心着百姓。靠近在种满桑树的田野里耕作的农夫，扛着锄头和牧童一起劳作。农家人推测今年的自然气候，都说这一年是丰收年。


英文翻译：

Last night,the handle of the Big Dipper turned to the east.This morning,the new year began again.

I am forty years old this year.Although I have no official position,I still worry about the people.

Near the farmer who is farming in the field full of mulberry trees,he carries a hoe and works with the shepherd boy.

Farmers speculate about the natural climate this year,and all say that this year is a good harvest year.
