注意颜色词的翻译
A. red
red letter day：
红色还指“负债”或“亏损”，因为人们总是用红笔登记负数。于是就有了这些词组： red figure： red ink：in the red：red-ink entry： red balance：red cent： red gold：
red tip on stock market： red wine： red ruin： red battle： red sky：
B. black在英语中经常有“不好的”、“坏的”、“邪恶的”这种意味。例如： black money： black market：
black market price：
另外，英语中，和红色墨水是记帐时的意思相反，黑色还可表示盈利。例如： black figure / in the black： black figure nation： interest in the black： C. blue
在英语中通常表示不快乐、忧郁的情绪。如： in a blue mood：

（二）改换颜色词。根据译入语（英汉翻译时，就是汉语了）的习惯，用读者熟悉的颜色词来改变原文的颜色词。如： black tea

（三）原文中无颜色词，译文中根据汉语的表达习惯，可以增加适当的颜色词。如 He didn't try in vain. Her eyes became moist.
（四）意译。有些颜色词语因为是习惯用法，有引申意义，这时，可以根据原文的意思，完全忽略原文的颜色词，而用译入语的适当词语来翻译。如： love pea pink slip a green hand
