说完狐狸走了，在路上狐狸碰上正带着果实往回赶的小矮人，于是又上前挑拨说：“哟……这不是小矮人么!你看你这么小一个，却辛苦在外面觅食，可是大巨人却舒服的躺在家里，这是多么的不公平啊。”

小矮人想了想，狐狸说的没错，大巨人那么懒。小矮人顾不上采的果子，怒气冲冲的回到家中，小矮人看到大巨人果然躺在家里睡懒觉，大巨人看到小矮人没有带回食物，一定是像狐狸说的那样偷吃了。

两人大吵了一架，各自离开彼此，自己独立生活，可是两个人都觉得没有了朋友的陪伴感觉很寂寞，大巨人出去觅食，很多小动物看到大巨人都吓跑了，巨人想起只有自己的好朋友小矮人会陪伴自己。

而此时的小矮人，正在为够不到树上的苹果而感到烦恼，因为平时都是大巨人用手把自己托起的，想到这，小矮人不时感到些悲伤，两个人后悔听信了狐狸的挑拨，决定从归于好，于是两人相互道歉，又生活在了一起，现在他们的友谊比以前更深了。这可把狐狸给气坏了!
