1. Scientists are doing a lot of research to help pandas produce more babies and help baby pandas live.

【点拨】该句中的in order to意为“为了……”,引导目的状语,可以放在句首,也可以放在句尾。如: In order to hear more clearly, we moved to the front row. 为了听得更清楚,我们挪到了前排。

【点拨】there be...doing意为“有某人或某物正在做某事”;而there be...to do意为“有某人或某物要做某事”there be句型中,用现在分词作定语表示伴随的动作正在发生;用动词不定式作定语表示动作不是正在进行。如:

There are a lot of visitors waiting there. There will be several buses to take them around the factory.

有很多游客正等在那儿。有几辆公共汽车将带他们去参观工厂。
