Used to 的用法

used to后跟动词原形，表示“过去常常”，只表示过去和现在的对比，暗指现在已经不存在的动作或状态。如：

She used to live in a small town, but now she lives in a big city. Mary , you used to be short, but now you are tall.

肯定句：主语+used to +动词原形+其他。 否定句：主语+didn’t use to +动词原形+其他。 一般疑问句：Did +主语+ use to +动词原形+其他？ 反意疑问句：附加疑问部分使用did来引导。 例句： ①You used to have long hair.

②---Did you use to play the piano? --- Yes, I did. \ No, I didn’t. ③---What did you use to do ? --- I used to collect stamps. ④The house used to be a shop, didn’t it?

考点2 used to do sth. .be used to doing sth, 和 be used to do sth. 的区别：

used to do sth.

表示“过去常常”，后跟动词原形。 I used to be afraid of the dark.

be used to doing sth. 表示“习惯于做某事”等同于 get\ become used to, 后跟名

词，代词或动名词。 He is used to traveling by train. I am not used to the weather here.

be used to do sth.

表示“被用来做某事” This knife is used to cut bread. Coal can be used to keep warm.

be used for +n. \ for为介词，后接名词或动名词，表示“被用来做某事”，doing sth.

与be used to do sth.同义。

Bamboo can be used for building houses.= Bamboo can be used to build houses.

be used as

表示“作为、、、被使用”，as是介词，后面接名词。 This grammar book can be used as a textbook. This big box can be used as a chair.
