英语中“尽管”表达法

我们注意到英语中表示“虽然”，“然而”，“尽管”等意义的有连词，副词及介词。我们要特别注意其词性。

1.①But/Yet ... （adv.） ②.…,but/yet./although... (conj.)

But/Yet she failed the terminal examination. （adv.）

He has been studying hard,but/yet/although he has failed the terminal examination.(conj.) He has passed the exam, although/but/yet hehasn’t got high marks. And he is determined to study harder to be better.(conj.)

注意：although部分起补充说明作用，although译为“不过”

2.Although/Though/While...,(yet/still)... (conj.)

Although/Though he believes it,( yet/still ) he will not act． While he believes it, he will not act．

3. ①Young as/though he is, he knows a lot． (conj.)

②Little child as/though he is, he can speak two foreign languages．(conj.) 注意:如果表语是单数名词,要省略a。

4.①Though/However,... ②...,though/however,.... ③...,though/however. Though/However,she failed the terminal examination.（adv.） She ,though/however,failed the terminal examination.（adv.） She failed the terminal examination,hough/however.（adv.）

5.although只用来陈述“事实”。(conj.) Although he is ill,he is in class.

6.even though=even if“即使”,表示“假设”以及as though＝as if“好像” 结构中不能用 although 代替though。
