推荐信通常需要三封。一封叫做校方报告School Report，国外通常是升学顾问Counselor来填写，国内高中没有这个角色，但不必慌张，可以找如何一个能够接触了解到你成绩单的人来完成这个报告，这个人通常可以是校长、年级组长、班主任；如果以上都不可以或者找不到，那么你可以指定某个老师担任你的Counselor完成这个推荐表格即可。

另外两封推荐信叫做教师评估Teacher Evaluation，应该找两位你的任课老师。最好一位理科老师，一位文科老师。尤其是个别学校需要英语老师的推荐信。极少数学校还需要一封同学的推荐信，可以稍微叙述几句就好了

请记住，国内的推荐信一般是你完成以后请她/他修改再签字，因此写推荐信这工作你需要自己来完成；相应地，这个表格的内容应该是你自己来完成。如若有条件，请以老师的口吻，写一封中文推荐信，将有助于我们推荐信的撰写。注意，推荐信中请避免空泛的官话，有时一两个具体的小事例会让学校留下难以磨灭的印象。一般Counselor的描写会更全面些，授课老师侧重些个别方面，如果能做到遥相呼应或者互补更好，但是不必苛求面面俱到，因为老师不可能事先打好招呼，分工来写。如果想保证不同口吻，请列出具体事例和写作重点，请家长来写。

如果你还有其他人想作为推荐人（譬如科研实习的领导或者老师，或者对你某方面特长有充分了解的人，如游泳教练等；极少数学校还需要一封同学的推荐信，可以稍微叙述几句就好了），那么建议作为第四封甚至第五封补充推荐信，但应该优先保障来自学校的三封推荐信(有些学校是要求两封，一封校方报告和一封教师评估)。

3. 推荐人与申请者关系： 何时、何地以及通过何种途径认识？如果是教过你课程的老师，课程的中英文名称，上课时间区间（年，月），课程的难易程度，你的那门课程考试结果如何（如分数，排名等等），课堂表现如何？(How, when and where did the referee know the applicant? Suppose he/she taught the applicant a course, please list the Chinese and English names of the course, the time, the level of course difficulty(AP, accelerated, honors, IB, elective; 100-level, 200-level, etc.)，exam result， and how did the applicant behave himself/herself in class?)

4.以时间为序描写推荐人与被推荐人关系发展，并说明你们的熟悉程度。 (How did you know each other? Do you know the applicant well?)

5. 该推荐人是否指导你进行过什么研究？详细介绍研究的项目以及所取得的成绩。

(Please introduce in details the research project and the achievement if the referee instructed the applicant about the research project)

6. 您给这位推荐人留下什么印象？请通过具体事例说明您如何给推荐人留下了深刻的印象，切忌空泛。 (What kind of impression did the applicant give on the referee? Please give concrete examples and facts.)

7. 以这位推荐人的角度来看，他是否了解你其他方面的能力，比如你的各科综合成绩如何, 你的特长, 得过何种荣誉, 克服过某些困难等。 如果有的话，请用事例说明。

(Besides the academic ability and potential, does the referee know you from other points? For example, your overall GPA, strongpoint, winning awards and did you overcome any difficulty, etc. If there are, please prove through examples or facts.)
